In honor of Earth Day this year, Corvias and PGC Clean Water Partnership supported the eight annual Good Neighbor Day in College Park, MD.  Good Neighbor Day is a collaborative partnership between the University of Maryland, the City of College Park, and the Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission (M-NCPPC).  This year’s event, held on Saturday April 13, included over 900 volunteers working across the greater College Park community in support of the partnerships goals to bring together the community fostering beautification, education and engagement in Prince George’s County, MD.

On Friday evening, Corvias Partnership Liaison Keisha Brown supported the University of Maryland student organization, Terps Against Hunger, a student run organization that fights food insecurity in the DC metro area.  She helped to stage and set up the College Park Community Center in preparation for the following day’s activities, which included packing nutritious meals for families.  While on Saturday, Keisha and Gwen Wolfgang, Bradley Site Designs (a CWP Delivery Partner) helped remove invasive plans, litter pick up, clean and beautify a community garden in various sites in College Park.

Good Neighbor Day is another example of how Corvias and PGCo Clean Water Partnership generously gives back to the community. See pics from the event below.
